Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to gain experience, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support the store management team by driving store execution and performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and manages opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Time type: Full time

Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
