The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term role that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to prepare for future supervisory responsibilities, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store execution, performance, and customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and is responsible for opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management skills: supervising store staff, assigning and following up on activities, effective communication with management and crews.
• Customer Service: assisting customers, promoting CVS service culture, handling customer relations, maintaining confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 25
• Part-time employment
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
