Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned work to develop supervisory skills, complete basic management training, and learn about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in executing store operations, driving performance, and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
3. Supervise store crew activities, including assigning, directing, and follow-up.
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
