The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing work as directed, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisor positions, supporting store management in driving store performance and customer loyalty. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Exhibit advanced communication skills.
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Management

• Work effectively with store management and staff.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff.

Customer Service

• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS's customer service culture.
• Handle customer relations issues per company policy and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail is preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 25
• Part-time position
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
