Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences
  5. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
