The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing work as directed, completing training in basic operations and management skills, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management: Work effectively with store management and staff, supervise activities, and communicate effectively.
• Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS service culture, handle customer issues, and maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail (preferred)

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Work Details

• Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
• Time Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $17.25 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
