Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop management skills, learns about key aspects of the business, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff and ensures smooth operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
  3. Supervise store activities by assigning, directing, and following up.
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy and foster a positive shopping experience.
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality.
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
