Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key business aspects (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service), and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Management
   - Work effectively with store management and staff.
   - Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up.
   - Communicate effectively with management and staff.
2. Customer Service
   - Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
   - Promote CVS customer service culture: greet, offer help, thank.
   - Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences.
   - Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills. Strong communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Retail experience preferred.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
