Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  6. Assist customers with questions, issues, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS's customer service culture—greeting, offering help, and thanking customers
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details
  • Anticipated weekly hours: 20
  • Part-time position
  • Pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location
