Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service), and about CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture (Greet, offer help, thank)
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  9. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range is $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
