Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop skills in operations and management, learns about customer service and CVS/pharmacy culture, and completes training in these areas.

Upon successful completion, trainees are considered for promotion to open Supervisor roles, which support store management by driving store performance, building customer loyalty through excellent service, and leading store staff in the absence of a manager, ensuring smooth operations and completion of opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture—greeting, offering help, thanking
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring positive shopping experiences
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
