Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to gain skills in operations and management, learns about building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Supervise store crew through assigning, directing, and follow-up activities.
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
  3. Promote CVS customer service culture—greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: Retail experience.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
