Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store performance, ensuring smooth operations, and leading staff in the absence of a manager.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  1. Customer Service
  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS’s customer service culture (greet, help, thank)
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy and foster positive shopping experiences
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Hours: 40 hours/week

Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
