Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare an employee for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to build skills in management, operations, and customer service, and learns about CVS/pharmacy's culture and business.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These roles support store management in driving performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS's customer service culture—greeting, offering help, and thanking customers
  4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 25

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
