Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completing basic operations and management training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These roles support the store management team by driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Supervise store crew activities through assigning, directing, and follow-up.
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

  2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
  3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  4. Handle customer relations issues according to company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer proficiency.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail.
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
