Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth store operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

9. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills
• Advanced communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Work Hours & Compensation

Anticipated weekly hours: 29

Part-time position

Pay range: $17.10 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
