Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to gain experience, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service) and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
7. Promote CVS's customer service culture—greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
8. Handle customer relations issues in accordance with company policy to ensure a positive shopping experience.
9. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Ability to reason deductively, analyze, and use computers. Strong communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Time type: Part time
Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and other factors.
