Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store performance, ensuring smooth operations when managers are absent, and leading the team through opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff

  2. Assist customers with questions, issues, and complaints
  3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, helping, and thanking customers
  4. Handle customer relations in accordance with company policy, fostering a positive shopping experience
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience (preferred)
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25
Time type: Part-time
Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
