Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business including customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and customer service, especially when managers are not onsite, ensuring smooth operations and completion of opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills
• Exhibit advanced communication skills
• Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnight, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Supervise store staff, assign tasks, and ensure activities are completed effectively
• Assist customers, handle inquiries, and promote CVS customer service culture
• Maintain customer confidentiality

Qualifications

• Experience in retail is preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not required

Pay range: $16.00 per hour
