The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to prepare for future responsibilities, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management: Supervise store staff, assign tasks, communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS customer service culture, handle customer issues, maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail (preferred).

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Anticipated weekly hours: 29

• Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
