Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees may be considered for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management in driving store performance and customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff and ensures smooth operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

• Management skills: supervising store staff, assigning tasks, and effective communication.
• Customer Service: assisting customers, promoting CVS service culture, handling customer issues, maintaining confidentiality.
• Skills: deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and flexible scheduling including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in retail.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

• Anticipated Weekly Hours: 35
• Type: Full-time
• Pay Range: $16.24 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
