Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to gain skills in operations and management, learns about customer loyalty, and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures store operations run smoothly, and completes opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and follow up.

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS customer service culture—greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy and foster positive shopping experiences.
5. Maintain customer confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer literacy, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 25

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $17.25 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
