Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs work as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business (e.g., building customer loyalty through exceptional service) and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the CVS Store Management team by driving store execution and performance, and by building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, fostering a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
