Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks to prepare for future responsibilities, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These roles support store management in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Supervise store crew by assigning and following up on activities
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers
  8. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality
Required Qualifications

Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience
Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 29

Time Type: Part time

Pay Range: $17.10 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
