Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, learns about key aspects of the business, and understands CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion of the program makes the trainee eligible for promotion to supervisory roles, which support store operations and customer service, especially when no manager is onsite.

Essential Functions

2. Work effectively with store management and staff.
3. Supervise store activities by assigning, directing, and following up.
4. Communicate effectively with management and staff.

1. Customer Service
2. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
3. Promote CVS's customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
4. Handle customer relations issues per company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
5. Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information.

Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer proficiency.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40
Time type: Full time
Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
