Job summary

Lifeworks is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Supported Living Homes in Ohio. This role supervises direct care staff, ensures client safety, and implements individualized supports and programs in a structured home setting.

You will report to the Assistant Director and oversee program operations, clinical oversight, and interagency collaboration. You will work with clients, their families, and local organizations to deliver ISPs, BSPs, assessments, and data collection, while guiding staff in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Special Education, Psychology, Speech and Language Pathology, etc.) or equivalent experience is required.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst or Ohio Licensed Teacher is also preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, child and adolescent development, human sexuality, family dysfunction, psychology, sociology, behavior theory.
  • Openness to multi-disciplinary and eclectic approaches to treatment.
  • Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of supports, interventions and provision of client safety and well-being in the supported living home.
  • Through collaboration with the clinical coordinator, provide clinical oversight of ISPs, BSPs, assessment, intervention, data collection and aspects of delegated nursing that do not fall squarely on trained and licensed professionals.
  • Provide education and training to staff in prescriptive plans and best practices in working with adults with autism spectrum disorders including, but not limited to, daily living skills, self-care, communication, social skill development and opportunities for leisure activities that are based within ISP goals and objectives in accordance with the Monarch Model.
  • Provide administrative oversight to ensure that the home and staff operate in accordance with established rules and regulations for the Agency and all involved governing bodies.
  • Responsible for organization of daily activities and routines to optimize treatment and clientlearning.

Lifeworks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that individuals with autism lead healthy and enriched lives by providing essential clinical services across the lifespan. Founded in 2013, Lifeworks provides residential, vocational, and educational opportunities for adults throughout Northeast Ohio with a diagnosis of autism. Among its array of services, the agency offers behavioral health and Applied Behavior Analytic services for individuals of all ages who are on the spectrum.

Position Summary:

Lifeworks is currently looking for a Shift Supervisor for our Supported Living Homes. As the Shift Supervisor, you will directly supervise the direct care staff of ASD Service Specialists in maintaining client safety and effective individualized supports, programming and services in a structured home setting. You will report to the Assistant Director and/or the Director of Supported Living Services and will be responsible for all aspects of the program’s operations, including creating and implementing innovative programming and supports for adults with autism. As the Shift Supervisor, you will have responsibilities related to case management, clinical oversight and ensuring interdepartmental and inter-agency collaboration. You will work not only with your direct staff, but also with clients, their families and local community organizations.
