Allied Universal® is hiring an experienced Security Shift Supervisor in Kansas City, MO. You will lead a professional security team, manage staffing and training, and ensure contract compliance on site.

The role requires supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. You will coordinate with clients, respond to requests, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in payroll, incident reports, and security surveys and post orders.
• Make recommendations for personnel actions for those under direct supervision.
• Respond to client requests and emergencies per site post orders.
• Provide direction to subordinates regarding duties.
• Make productivity and cost-reduction recommendations to management.
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders.

We're looking for an experienced and dependable Security Shift Supervisor to lead a team of security professionals while maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client. Position Details:

• Position: Security Shift Supervisor
• Location: Kansas City, MO
• Pay: $20.25 per hour
• Schedule: Thursday-Monday
• Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older
• Experience Required: Previous supervisory experience required
• Employment Type: Full-time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-shift are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training)
• Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
• Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
• Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
• Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
• Respond to client requests
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their duties
• Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
• Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Current driver's license If driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
• Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related Industry
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Effective oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
• Problem solving skills
• Active listening skills
• Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Able to compile, sort, and interpret data
• Skilled in research, investigation, and in compiling information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related field
• Prior experience in the fire service, law enforcement, and/or military
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified
