SHIFT SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

As our enthusiastic and hardworking SHIFT SUPERVISOR, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  1. Partnering with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
  2. Assuming responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  3. Providing coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees.
  4. Ensuring Customer/Donor needs are met by maintaining good Customer/Donor/Community relations; resolving complaints; and ensuring quick and efficient service.
  5. Communicating any personnel issues to the District Sales Manager in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  6. Coordinating daily morning and shift change team meetings in the absence of Store Manager.
  7. Supervising employees to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines.
  8. Training new personnel on store policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  9. Completing tasks assigned by management, including paperwork related to Time and Attendance.
  10. Maintaining store standards, inventory levels, and timely completion of Rag Out from the sales floor.
  11. Ensuring effective Material Handling and Donation Attendant operations in the absence of Store Manager.
  12. Managing cash, change, and banking procedures according to ARCC policy.
  13. Attending monthly store meetings and assisting with safety measures and property protection.
  14. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate POS/Cash Register and supervise store staff.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects, operate a telephone, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive motion tasks.
Schedule

Stores operate 7 days a week. Flexibility required to ensure adequate coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
