SUMMARY: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Store Leadership Team in the absence of a manager on the sales floor. The primary duties include supervising store staff, ensuring the highest level of customer engagement, and selling. The Shift Supervisor represents the brand, operates professionally, engages customers, maintains store standards, and supports teamwork.

Qualifications

Requires ability to lift large and heavy packages quickly and consistently, perform continuous loading and unloading, reach overhead, bend, kneel, carry products, and stand/walk for extended periods. Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs., perform store maintenance tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning), use and climb ladders/step stools, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to handle difficult customers and maintain professionalism is essential. The work environment is moderate to loud, and adult content may be present. Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Store Management in generating sales by maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor and upholding brand standards.
  2. Hold store keys to open and close the store in the absence of management.
  3. Prioritize customer service and collaborate with Sales Associates to meet sales goals and KPIs.
  4. Manage break schedules and ensure all zones are covered.
  5. Provide feedback, coaching, and redirection on customer engagement, selling, and etiquette.
  6. Maintain merchandise presentation, signage, and displays according to standards.
  7. Escalate performance issues to the Store Manager.
  8. Motivate staff to build brand loyalty and foster a positive store environment.
  9. Assist with store security, including bag checks and monitoring fitting rooms.
  10. Ensure staff are treated professionally and respectfully.
  11. Process returns, exchanges, promotional discounts, and employee sales in the absence of a manager.
  12. Comply with all Loss Prevention policies.
  13. Understand and follow inventory management procedures.
  14. Represent the company professionally and positively.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of key holder experience in retail preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
  • Commitment to two store closings per week, including one on Friday or Saturday.
  • Ability to use retail POS systems and inventory scanners.
  • Ability to make change using U.S. currency.
  • Capable of completing detailed tasks independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Completion of the three-month Shift Supervisor training program.
