POSITION SUMMARY
The production supervisor is the leader of a shift of production, ensuring all employees are working safely, efficiently, and following all company procedures in a fast-paced, union environment with changing priorities. This is a rotating shift position that includes weekends and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Process Engineers, and Materials Manager to establish and meet daily production goals.
- Makes independent decisions for plant production on off-shifts to ensure goals are achieved.
- Acts as an incident commander during emergencies.
- Willing to work any shift and cover others as needed.
- Schedules and manages labor in a union environment.
- Assists in writing and reviewing JSA, SOPs, and other work instructions.
- Participates in safety and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations including Title V Air Permitting, RCRA, PSM, RMP, and OSHA.
- Trains operators on various tasks related to their jobs.
- Works with Maintenance on scheduling and work order execution.
- Prepares permits and conducts risk assessments for critical safety programs.
- Troubleshoots equipment and implements new methods to reduce failures.
- Recognizes employee efforts to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve processes.
- Maintains high safety standards through meetings, BBS programs, and SWOT analysis.
- Ensures plant cleanliness and readiness at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support department and plant efficiency.
- Assists chemical operators as needed, including charging and packaging mixers, with appropriate PPE.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds safely.
- Operates industrial lift trucks safely.
- Uses SAP to confirm production and manage inventory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of chemical plant manufacturing experience preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to evacuate the process areas promptly in an emergency.
- Willing to serve as incident command during emergencies.
- Proper use of PPE required in process areas.
- Ability to identify operational issues and develop action plans, fostering a positive work environment and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Authorized to work in the US.
