Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of prior work experience in a chemical plant environment.

  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift and handle physical requirements.

Basic Purpose/Function
  • Proper and safe equipment operation in accordance with Plant Operation policies/procedures and OSHA safety rules and regulations

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • An extensive knowledge and understanding of the chemical processes and operating equipment.
  • A thorough understanding of the safety aspects of operating a chemical plant.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of raw materials.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Environmental and OSHA regulations.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Polymers area and Standard Operating procedures.
  • A thorough understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality system and a commitment to our Quality Policy.
  • A personal record of above average performance.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • A demonstrated ability to organize and plan work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to coordinate and follow-up on activities.
  • Successful completion of Incident Command Training
