Job summary

The Anderson & Associates, LLC production team is seeking a skilled Production B Operator to join the Production department. You will execute daily chemical production tasks and help advance toward a senior operator role, with focus on safe, efficient processing.

You will operate plant equipment, follow SOPs, document measurements, and assist with startup/shutdown activities while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and company safety policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing and production.
  • Fork Truck License required.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; proactive safety mindset.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned plant equipment safely and support startup/shutdown.
  • Record accurate measurements of raw, in-process, and finished materials.
  • Clean equipment and work areas between batches and at shift end.
  • Troubleshoot basic process issues and report hazards.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO-9001 and ISO-45001 systems.
  • Mentor junior operators as directed.

Job Title: Production B Operator

Supervisor Title: Production Supervisor

Summary

A Production B Operator is responsible for performing the tasks in the production and processing of specialty silicone chemicals as an experienced member of the Production Department operations team. The operator is working towards becoming a senior operator. Responsible for the conduct of daily chemical production and processing tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run assigned plant equipment, in a safe and proper manner. Able to assist start-up and shutdown of most plant processes. Equipment could include Emulsion area, VQM, Gum Blends, Tank Trucks, Bulk Tanks, Reactors, Pope Unit, Repacking and shipping and receiving.
  • Qualified to run at least 75% of plant equipment.
  • Measure and record all raw, in-process and finished materials accurately.
  • Follow all work instructions and SOP’s explicitly, sign off on each instruction.
  • Pack out material when batch process is complete.
  • Clean all production equipment, tools and work areas near equipment between batches and at the end of the shift.
  • Calculate and make adjustments to batches as directed.
  • Troubleshoot some process problems.
  • Comply with all company occupational health, safety and environmental legal requirements.
  • Use personal protective equipment as assigned.
  • Report all unsafe conditions, work related injury or illness to a member of leadership.
  • Safely handle and prepare materials for transport as assigned per regulatory requirements.
  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals and waste according to company and legal requirements as assigned.
  • Make recommendations for changes/improvements to ISO-9001 and 45001 integrated management systems.
  • Set an example for junior level employees, and train as necessary and/or directed.
  • Maintain good communication with fellow operators and leads/supervisors to ensure all tasks operate efficiently.
  • Volunteer and work weekends to maintain production demands
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Qualifications

Work Experience: 3+ years of experience required in chemical manufacturing and production

Training Requirements: Fork Truck License

  • Teamwork; promote positive work environment within the production team and with other departments.
  • Leadership; provide mentorship to junior operators, answer questions, demonstrate best practices.
  • Display initiative and strong work ethic to get work done in a safe and timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Safety; ensure company safety and security procedures are followed in all processes.
