Job description

AutoZone's Part-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity. They are responsible for training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and adhering to company procedures in line with AutoZone’s expectations. Part-Time Shift Supervisors aim to exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on their assigned shifts, embodying the Pledge daily.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
  2. Take responsibility for store operations and the commercial department during the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
  3. Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised.
  4. Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
  5. Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
  6. Ensure compliance with all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
  7. Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
  10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
  11. Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
  12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures.
  13. Follow proper accident procedures.
  14. Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
  15. Monitor and manage all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment.
  16. Address customer concerns and resolve them with the goal of turning complaints into compliments.
  17. Process returns and effectively manage inventory.
  18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially.
  19. Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and promote products to increase sales and profits.
Position Requirements
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. ASE Certification preferred.
  3. Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
  4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  5. Ability to drive customer service.
