CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee in Gate City, VA. The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned tasks to develop management skills, completes basic training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees become eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support the store management team by driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and is responsible for opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in retail. The role requires deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnight, weekends, and overtime as needed.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, depending on the position, with actual offers based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
