Wedgwood Christian Services is hiring a Shift Supervisor for the Audere Program, a residential transitional living program serving adolescents aged 15–18. Lead a trauma-informed team, provide on-shift leadership, and ensure consistent, high-quality care across shifts.

You will mentor staff, coordinate coverage, and support the therapeutic environment grounded in trauma-informed practices. Successful candidates are passionate about youth advocacy and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license is required to transport residents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical interventions when necessary.
• Residential setting experience or exposure is preferred.
• Alignment with Wedgwood’s faith, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to direct care staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate staff assignments for coverage and treatment support.
• Ensure completion of shift duties including documentation and medication administration.
• Support and guide staff with individualized treatment plans.
• Offer real-time coaching and mentorship to promote staff development.
• Help onboard and train new staff as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, trauma-informed therapeutical environment.
• Build mentoring relationships with youth using trauma-informed approaches.
• Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
• Model healthy communication, problem solving and daily living skills.
• Support youth in developing life skills and positive identities.
• Engage residents in structured recreational and skill-building activities.
• Transport residents to appointments or community activities as needed.

Shift Supervisor Full Time Transitional Living Program Audere Program Youth Ages 15 18 Why Wedgwood Since 1960 Wedgwood Christian Services has been dedicated to boldly taking on the toughest mental health and behavioral health problems in West Michigan We serve children teens families and adults through residential care counseling services and community programs Lead a Trauma Informed Residential Treatment Team We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide direct care and on shift leadership within our residential transitional living program serving adolescents ages 15 18 Many of the youth in our Audere Program have never experienced consistent support or stability As a Shift Supervisor you will serve as both a mentor to youth and a leader to staffensuring consistency in care guiding daily operations and supporting a therapeutic environment grounded in trauma informed practices You will play a critical role in maintaining structure coaching staff and ensuring high quality care on every shift If you are passionate about building life skills trauma informed care youth advocacy and therapeutic mentorship we invite you to apply

Schedule

Schedule 4 weekdays primarily 2nd shift and every other weekend Saturday & Sunday rotating 1st2nd shift 1st shift 7am3pm2nd shift 3pm11pm

Compensation

What Youll Do

• Provide direction to direct care staff during assigned shifts
• Coordinate staff assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and effective treatment support
• Ensure completion of all shift responsibilities including documentation medication administration and scheduled programming
• Support and guide staff in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide real time coaching feedback and mentorship to promote staff development and team cohesion
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff as assigned
• Create and maintain a safe therapeutic environment grounded in the Sanctuary Model safety emotional intelligence open communication and social learning
• Build consistent mentoring relationships with youth using trauma informed and relationship based approaches
• Utilize verbal de escalation and crisis intervention techniques to support behavioral regulation
• Model and teach healthy communication problem solving and daily living skills
• Support youth in developing life skills self worth and positive identity formation
• Engage in structured recreational and skill building activities
• Administer medications as assigned and support physical wellness routines
• Support residents health needs including first aid response and coordination of medical care
• Transport residents to appointments school work or community activities as needed
• Document and maintain accurate records in alignment with behavioral health standards
• Ensure adherence to all agency policies procedures and licensing requirements

Background & Qualifications Required

• At least 20 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely perform physical interventions when necessary
• Ability to bend twist and support movement in a residential setting
