Job summary

Compass Group USA, through its ESFM division, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Rockville, VA site. You will direct associates during shifts, schedule work, and ensure safety and quality standards are met while upholding company policies.

Experience in supervision is required; warehouse and janitorial experience are a plus. The role offers full-time hours with a fixed pay rate of $18.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

• We have an opening for full time SHIFT SUPERVISOR positions.
• Location: 2022 Ashland Road, Rockville, VA 23146. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule:
  • Employees will be assigned to either Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday schedules, working 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM–5:30 AM (nights).
  • During the initial site startup and construction clean phase, all team members will temporarily work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, before transitioning to their assigned schedule.
• Requirement: Previous supervisory experience is required. Previous warehouse and janitorial experience a plus!
• Fixed Pay Rate:$18.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
