Job summary

Compass Group USA's Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education unit is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor for Marist Murray in Poughkeepsie, NY. You will direct associates on a shift, uphold food safety standards, and ensure quality and customer service throughout the shift.

You will train staff, create schedules, evaluate performance, and prepare management reports. The role offers $20.00–$21.00 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities within the growing food-service program.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time SHIFT SUPERVISOR position.
• Location: Marist Murray - 3399 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior experience in food safety, grilling, time management, customer service, and upholding food and cleanliness standards.
• Pay Range: $20.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
