Compass Group USA at Lasell University in Auburndale, MA is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor for a Sunday-Thursday 4:00 pm–11:30 pm shift. Prior shift leadership and cooking experience in food service is required; wage is $22–$24 per hour.

You will supervise associates, schedule staff, assist with catering events, and help maintain quality, safety, and guest service. Perks include shift meals and holidays off, with opportunities to grow in campus dining operations.

Location: Lasell University

• We are hiring immediately for a full time SHIFT SUPERVISOR position.
• Address: 1844 Commonwealth Avenue, Auburndale, MA 02466. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 pm to 11:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Team Lead, or Supervisor is required. Must have prior grill cook, line cook, or general cooking experience in a food service environment.

• Pay Range: $22.00 per hour to$24.00 per hour.

Additional responsibilities:

• Must be available to support and work catering events as needed, including evenings, weekends, and special campus events.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist with staffing, customer service, and operational needs as required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in college dining, restaurants, catering, or high-volume food service operations.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
