Job Title: Shift Supervisor Forming

Job Summary: Supervises the activities of forming personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing process. The Shift Supervisor Forming has authority over personnel actions and oversees daily operations of the group. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, providing overall leadership of shift activities through final inspection in the manufacture of glass containers for the food and beverage industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of glassware meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Coordinate employee training on SOPs, TOPs, SPC, safety practices, work skills, and communication.
  • Maintain and review manufacturing records, including job histories and downtime records.
  • Lead safety policies and foster a safe working environment.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the plant.
  • Communicate interdepartmental requirements effectively.
  • Supervise and develop employees involved in the manufacturing process, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize statistical process control and data analysis to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
