Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a Financial Institution in Buffalo, NY. You will oversee a high-profile facility during the overnight shift, ensure safety and security, enforce post orders, and manage a team of security officers to deliver contract obligations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Valid NYS guard license and 6 months of security experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required before employment.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline or military/police experience.
• Minimum of one year verifiable security experience.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable work experience with strong customer service and incident handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
• Provide direction to subordinates on duties and performance.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and site efficiency.
• Suggest productivity and cost-reduction improvements to management.
• Recommend security surveys and updates to post orders.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for shift personnel.
• Ensure required training and screening elements for security personnel are met.
• Maintain overtime at minimum or as designated by Allied Universal.
• Inspect personnel and performance to ensure contract quality and service levels.
• Assist in payroll, incident reports, and security surveys as needed.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Shift Supervisor for a Financial Institution in Buffalo, NY.

Starting pay: $22.41 an hour

Wednesday - Sunday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Must have 6 months of security experience and have a valid NYS Guard License.

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
• Cross-training officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
• Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officer assigned to his/her shift.
• Ensure that contract required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
• Maintain overtime to minimum or to a predefined level designated by Allied Universal®
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
• Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Associate’s degree of higher in any discipline
  • Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
  • Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
  • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations
  • Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports
• Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300
• Working knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
