Job summary

Wonder in Chelsea is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring top-notch food quality and service for guests. This role supports overnight operations with shifts typically from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and includes a $2/hour premium for overnight hours.

You will lead team members through opening, prep, and closing duties, coordinate with the chef leadership team, manage orders and stock, and enforce safety, sanitation, and cost-control standards while modeling a professional

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervising in QSR or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a drive for efficiency and accuracy.
• Professionalism and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for a full shift.
• Availability to work evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team in opening, prep, and closing duties.
• Coordinate with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure guests receive high-quality service.
• Receive and process all kitchen orders and deliveries per company protocol.
• Maintain communication with staff to ensure stock and assist with supplies and ordering.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices across back-of-house areas.
• Monitor kitchen costs and ensure budget guidelines are followed.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and remains in working order.
• Perform pre- and post-service briefings with front and back-of-house staff.
• Ensure operating and quality standards are met.
• Present a professional and ethical leadership style.
