Job Description

Allied Universal is now hiring in Philadelphia, PA, specifically in the 3500 Block of Red Lion Road. This is a part-time position with multiple shifts available from Monday through Sunday, paying $22 per hour. Excellent career advancement opportunities are available, along with paid orientation, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits for full-time employees. Candidates must be 21 years or older, have at least 1 year of security experience, and prior military, law enforcement, or correctional experience is preferred. The role involves security of a high-profile client’s facility, performing general security duties, and enforcing policies to deter criminal activity.

Responsibilities

  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
  • Cross-train officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations for personnel actions for those under supervision
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
  • Ensure training and screening requirements are met
  • Maintain minimal overtime levels
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance through inspections
  • Perform other operational functions such as payroll, incident reports, and security surveys

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State/local licensing requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • One or more of the following: Associate’s degree, military or police service, or at least 1 year of security experience
  • Two or more years of verifiable work experience demonstrating customer service, poise in emergencies, report writing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving, coaching, mentoring, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to analyze situations, synthesize information, and mediate conflicts
  • Attention to detail and goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Emergency Management Systems FEMA certifications (ICO 100, 200, 300)
  • Knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder, or Emergency Medical Technician
