Job summary

Open Arms Care Corporation in Georgetown, TN is seeking a Shift Supervisor / Assistant House Manager for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will lead Direct Support Professionals, guide daily home operations, and ensure high-quality, hands-on client care in a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 3+ years working with ID/DD clients, a valid driver's license, CPR within 30 days, and PCM certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• 3+ years working directly with ID/DD clients preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification within 60 days.
• Effective time management & organization.
• Ability to coach and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DSP teams during shifts.
• Provide hands-on client care and active treatment.
• Coach and develop staff through daily guidance and bi-monthly 1:1 meetings.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, bed checks, shift notes, and repositioning notes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Manage supplies, schedules, and operational needs.
• Represent OAC positively in the community, meetings, and events.
• Participate in client activities, events, and outings.
• Complete on-call rotation with your counterpart.
• Assist with employee development plans and onboarding of new staff.
• Advocate for clients' wants, needs, and rights.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and committees as assigned.
• Promote the mission, vision, and core values of OAC.

Position Summary

As a Shift Supervisor / Assistant House Manager, you'll create a supportive and safe environment where clients can thrive. You'll guide and mentor our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensure quality care, and oversee daily operations of the home. You'll also be the bridge between the site and operational departments, managing resources, scheduling, and property with care and professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/reposition 50 lbs frequently, bend, squat, and move safely
