Responsibilities

The Shift Supervisor is responsible to provide active leadership for co-workers, and to assist the Program Supervisors in the overall operation of the dorm and campus. The Shift Supervisor is responsible to provide a therapeutic milieu within the program setting. The Shift Supervisor supervises the activities of clients/staff and works as part of a team to maintain a safe and secure environment for all clients/staff that promotes growth and development. The Shift Supervisor is assigned specific clients with whom they will act as a mentor regarding creating and maintaining treatment plans and will advocate for those youth. The Shift Supervisor communicates effectively with team members to assure that client’s needs are met. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for providing direct feedback to co-workers and will communicate effectively with Program Supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent - 6 months prior experience in working with adolescents is required. The applicant must have the following abilities: to work as a team member, perform basic writing, communications and computer skills, function as a group leader and role model in relation to troubled youth and respond appropriately to the emotional and physical needs of adolescents within a structured group setting.
