Job summary

Cad Engineering Resources Inc in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the day shift. Pay rate $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, with overtime and weekends required based on production needs. The role oversees CER personnel and quality control on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of automotive quality supervisory experience, strong Excel skills, and proven leadership. Travel to local Detroit metro area locations may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of CER personnel and quality control.
• Manage positive customer relations with all corporate employees.
• Inspect parts as needed.
• Check-in at the site on off shifts as needed.
• Assist with new job setup.
• Coordinate and assess required training and team building.
• Ensure accountability and discipline.
• Prioritize daily work assignments and communicate overtime schedule.
• Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (e.g. 8D reports, department meetings).
• Prepare incident reports including root cause and corrective action.
• Maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (e.g. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook).
• Ensure the team has necessary tools and materials to perform roles safely and efficiently.

Job Description Of The Shift Supervisor

Oversee all day-to-day operations of CER personnel and quality control operations. Manage a positive customer relation with all corporate employees. The ideal candidate selected for this position will:

• Must be willing to inspect parts as needed
• Check-in at the site on off shifts as needed
• Assist with new job set-up
• Coordinate and assess required training and team building
• Responsible for ensuring accountability and discipline
• Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team
• Communicate the overtime schedule to the work team
• Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.)
• Prepare all incident reports to include identification of root cause and corrective action
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook)
• Responsible for ensuring the team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their roles safely and efficiently

Required Skills Needed Of The Shift Supervisor

• High School Diploma/GED required, college coursework preferred
• Must be willing to travel to local locations within the Metro Detroit area and/or surrounding counties
• Must have a minimum of ONE YEAR automotive quality supervisory experience
• Must be detailed oriented
• Must have Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven leadership ability
• Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations

Physical Requirements Of The Shift Supervisor Position

Duties include but are not limited to standing, walking, twisting, bending, lifting, seeing, talking, and hearing the duration of the shift
