The Shift Supervisor (SS) provides 24-hour awake coverage and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shelter, including providing general supervision and direction to staff, volunteers and guests. Provides immediate response to guest situations and facilitates the intake and discharge of all guests. This position is responsible for the welfare, safety and comfort, as well as daily support to the shelter guests. The SS works closely with guests, case managers, and other essential shelter staff to ensure that guests' needs are met with dignity and care, empowering them to transition toward stability and self- sufficiency.
