Summary of Position

Manages Child Care Workers, ensuring that stated job responsibilities are carried out and complies with program policies and procedures. Ensures overall safety and security of residents and the building. Provides supervision, guidance, boundaries, and direction to male adolescent sexual offenders. Abide by all MCO, DPW, PREA and COA standards and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises and maintains a professional managerial relationship with Child Care Workers, including mentoring, scheduling, training, performance reviews, and monthly supervision.

Ensures the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors, including emergency response, evacuations, fire drills, and physical restraints when necessary per policy.

Oversees implementation of the reward-based behavioral modification system and ensures consistent behavioral support practices.

Administers resident medications and ensures accurate, timely documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Ensures Child Care Workers properly complete all required EHR documentation, including behaviors, room checks, visitations, reports, and shift duties.

Reviews, approves, and submits staff documentation and reports for accuracy, professionalism, and compliance.

Oversees overnight operations, including 15-minute checks, cleanliness, laundry, paperwork, room searches, and building organization.

Coordinates resident passes, outings, visitations, and ensures all required approvals and paperwork are completed.

Communicates effectively with therapists, administration, staff, and other stakeholders via email, meetings, and internal communication systems.

Represents the agency professionally, adheres to all policies and procedures, attends required meetings/trainings, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

One-year experience working with youth required with a Bachelor’s degree
