Job summary

Shift Supervisor (Swing Shift Supervisor)

Muir Wood Teen Treatment is a leading provider of residential and outpatient behavioral healthcare for teens ages 12–17. We specialize in treating primary mental health and co‑occurring substance use disorders across programs in Sonoma County, Clovis, and Riverside.


We use a trauma‑informed, relationship‑centered approach that combines evidence‑based clinical care, accredited academics, and family involvement to create healing environments for teens and families.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities


  • Weekly checks of all documentation, physical plant, resident room, bathroom and medical supplies, and all aspects of resident charting.

  • Responsible for clients’ personal property records, surety bond, personal property list, loans to minors documentation, and updating information in resident charts.

  • Collaborate with the Care Coordinator Manager to ensure appropriate staffing of the program.

  • Familiarize Care Coordinators with procedures, location, and use of documents and resident charts.

  • Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, boundaries, and patient confidentiality.

  • Participate in training and meet agency and licensure expectations related to training.

  • Monitor documents in accordance with company and HIPAA policies.

  • Facilitate clients’ daily activities in residential settings, including assistance with chores, meal service, laundry, etc.

  • Transport clients to and from necessary appointments.

  • Conduct introductions, check‑ins, and discharges for new residents, including search for contraband and medications.

  • Work actively with clients at risk for AMA, providing counseling, notifying assigned counselors, and immediately informing the Clinical Director when residents express ideation about leaving the program.

  • Intervene with staff in the milieu to troubleshoot and improve the use of behavioral intervention techniques specified in behavioral intervention plans.

  • Provide documentation of services as required by law and regulation, and other duties as assigned to facilitate program success.

  • Maintain professional, ethical, and compassionate relationships with clients and peers at all times.

  • Attend scheduled meetings.

  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the manager or Clinical Director.


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology preferred.

  • Experience working with adolescents in a residential setting.

  • Experience in a leadership role.

  • TB test required, health screen, CPR, and first aid required.
