Job Description

Shift Supervisor

Qualifications/Experience: Minimum high school diploma with three to five years of experience in a group home or similar setting, and/or a Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of brain injury and experience with community-based transitional living programs are also preferred. Must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to direct and assist staff in direct care and paperwork completion.

Reports to: Senior Supervisor

Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week

Job Summary: Supervises CSCs during their shifts, conducts on-the-job training for newly employed CSCs, ensures clients’ needs are met, monitors team members and clients, ensures all necessary paperwork is completed, and performs routine safety checks. Must assist staff in direct care, report writing, and schedule maintenance. Works toward clients' individual goals, emphasizing therapeutic interactions and activities aimed at improving independence and quality of life.

Job Duties

1. Ensure timeliness of CSCs on their respective shifts
2. Coordinate and facilitate transportation
3. Coordinate activities during the shift
4. Ensure paperwork is completed for each shift
5. Perform safety checks at scheduled times
6. Train newly employed CSCs in all areas
7. Complete CSC Performance Evaluations
8. Provide clinical training and services in daily life activities as per supervisor guidelines
9. Monitor and document activities and behaviors in line with protocols
10. Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions
11. Maintain appropriate behavior, language, and appearance in all interactions
12. Cooperate with state licensing agencies and accreditation bodies during inspections
13. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Other Duties

Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Supervisor.

• Emergency and unscheduled responsibilities delegated by supervisors
• Maintain flexibility in all situations
