Job summary

SNF Holding Company in Midland, TX is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily plant production under the direction of the Area Manager. You will ensure safety, compliance, and efficient scheduling to meet internal goals and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a chemical or mechanical engineering background with 5+ years in chemical manufacturing and proven leadership skills to guide and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Chemical or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent chemical manufacturing knowledge/experience.
• Minimum 5 years in chemical manufacturing or chemical/mechanical engineering.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities; focuses on safety, quality, production and environmental matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operators perform their required tasks and follow safety rules.
• Maintain safe working environment through housekeeping and spill prevention.
• Minimize and control labor costs by enforcing and/or adjusting schedules.
• Maintain and maximize manufacturing effectiveness by reducing downtime and times.
• Document and investigate all EHS&S accidents and incidents.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes to reduce off-spec and waste.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed to maintain safe, efficient machine operations.
• Check finished product meets customer and internal specs and sign off orders.

Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor oversees the daily production operations of the plant under the direction of an Area Manager or Plant Manager. The supervisor monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met, and develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers. The supervisor also directs production staff, including hiring and training of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operators perform their required tasks and assignments while following all established safety rules and procedures.


• Maintain safe working environment through effective housekeeping and spill /leak prevention measures.


• Minimize and control labor costs by enforcing and/or adjusting schedules as needed.


• Maintain and maximize manufacturing effectiveness by reducing production times and downtime while increasing efficiency.


• Document and investigate all EHS&S accidents and incidents.


• Troubleshoot equipment and processes to reduce the generation of off-spec and waste.


• Ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance is completed to maintain safe, efficient machine operations.


• Check that finished product meets all customer and internal specs and sign off order.

Qualifications

• Chemical or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent chemical manufacturing knowledge/experience

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in chemical manufacturing or chemical/mechanical engineering degree
